Star Wars Celebration V is the Lucas Film approved event that brings together starwars fans from all walks of life to discuss, celebrate and network with other starwars fans. The events include celebrities, live music, collectibles, fans,and contests. This event experienced its fifth celebration this year, and the developer of it's iPhone app has released Celebration V version 4.3. Advantages of this new version include:

- Fan Wall shows map of users
- iOS4 compatibility including background audio and multitasking support
- Retina display support

There are other iPhone and Droid apps that celebrate the bringing together of Starwars fans but in my humble opinion not enough. Theres huge wiggle room here for developers to bring out apps that fans from young to old can appreciate. Whether they saw the prequels as kids, or the original saga in the 70s and 80s growing up, starwars continues to be a multi-billion dollar a year industry ever increasing in popularity.

There are lightsaber apps that mimic the sound visuals of the famous jedi weapon. In the new version 2.2 of this app users will find:

• VoiceOver Accessibility support
• Improved Lightsaber blade color picker
• Improved reliability & bug fixer

It's not hard to develope a new starwars app idea. Simply google iPhone app developer and you'll find many quick tutorials on how to market, develope and team with technies to make your app one approved by Apple, and distributed and sold on the market.

In any case, it's reassuring to see the movies that inspired many of todays tech savvy players using iPhones and Droids, having a high level of visability in the iPhone realm!
